James leads Australia’s largest and most representative business network.
He held senior policy roles in Federal and State governments; led corporate affairs for American and European companies in Australia; and supported his wife in their family business.
As a diplomat and trade negotiator, he represented Australia in Africa, the Pacific and China.
James has an MBA and a Psychology degree. He is an adjunct Professor at Deakin University Business School and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He is married with three children and a grandson; loves sailing and riding his bike around Lake Burley Griffin; and supports the Fremantle Dockers in the AFL.
