Established in 2002 by BUSINESSNEWS, the 40under40 Awards program is designed to recognise and celebrate Western Australia's 40 leading business entrepreneurs under the age of 40.  The program recognises not only personal determination and commercial drive, but also the philanthropic pursuits that balance these young individuals' professional achievements, recognising the less public contributions to the welfare of Western Australia.

Each year, one exceptional business talent is selected from the 40 winners as the First Amongst Equals and becomes an ambassador for the program that year.

Overview

Since 2002, the 40under40 Awards has an alumnus of over 600 business achievers.

Each year the awards program continues to find 40 outstanding young business men and women worthy of the opportunity to be awarded. The standard of entrants continues to grow, thanks to the support of event and business partners. It is their commitment in recognising and supporting the future leaders of Western Australia that unearths great business talent.

TESTIMONIAL

Feedback from a 2016 entrant "I'm sitting on a veranda in India with my laptop, crying, laughing, reminiscing and shaking my head in disbelief of the journey in business that I've been on.  I don't care if my application goes nowhere after this, as it's been nothing short of magnificent to have gone through this evaluative process."
