Chief executive and founder
Thomas Haines graduated in computer science, going on to develop cameras for Nikon in London. He worked for Microsoft, then became a founding partner of patent firm Golja Haines & Friend after completing training in law. In order to access big data to grow his firm, Mr Haines designed and developed Filing Analytics, which collates over 90 per cent of the world’s patent data. He founded Practice Insight to develop tools for the legal profession, combining his careers as an attorney and a software engineer.
