ROBERT Manford joined his family.s business while still in high school and plans to stay there until he retires. Started in 1987 by Mr Manford.s father, Peter Manford, Compu-Stor provides Australian businesses with a complete records management service, ranging from secure document storage to document imaging and scanning. Robert Manford manages 20 staff in providing customers with training and advice on record maintenance and organisation. Compu-Stor is a socially and environmentally aware business, using recycled materials, renewable resources and rainwater tanks throughout its 14 warehouses. Destroyed records are 100 per cent recycled. Mr Manford has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 25 years and held Quality Assurance Certification for more than 15 years. He is also a member of Records and Information Management (PIM) Professionals Australasia. Compu-Stor provides complimentary storage and services to several charity organisations, and a portion of the sale of archive boxes is donated to the St Vincent de Paul Society. The business also works in conjunction with PEP Community Services, atWork and the Autism Association to hire staff with disabilities, assisting their transition into the workforce.
