Amanda Paton is a clinical psychologist and director of therapeutic and advocacy services at Parkerville Children and Youth Care. She currently leads Australia's first child advocacy centre, the George Jones Child Advocacy Centre, which provides an interagency response to the forensic investigation and management of one third of all cases of child sexual abuse in metro WA (in partnership with WA Police and Department of Communities). Clinically, Ms Paton specialises in the assessment and treatment of children who have experienced complex trauma and child sexual abuse. Each year she oversees the delivery of specialist psychological services to more than 2,100 children, young people and adults, who have experienced trauma from abuse.
