Since 1865 in Western Australia through local volunteer groups and Special Works, the St Vincent de Paul Society has sought to create a more just and compassionate society by responding directly to needs identified in the community including food assistance, material aid, budget advice, shelter, advocacy, friendship and support.
As one of Western Australia’s largest charities and volunteer agencies, the Society provides a number of services that offer comfort and dignity to some of our communities most marginalised members, including home visitations that provide emergency relief assistance to people in need, accommodation and care for people living with a mental illness and experiencing homelessness, support and resources for street present young people, education and recreational programs for disadvantaged children and teens, refugee and migrant support, overseas partnerships and development, social justice advocacy and Vinnies clothing and furniture Depot and Centres that provide material and household support and offer the community a well-priced quality shopping alternative.
The Society is made up of committed people from diverse backgrounds and experiences that support the mission and bring a great depth of understanding, expertise and passion to their service and involvement in the Society.
Through the generosity of the Western Australian community the Society can continue to provide support to people who need it most. To make a donation today phone 13 18 12 or visit vinnies.org.au.
