The 40under40 Awards are designed to celebrate the ‘best of the best’ and to commemorate those within Western Australia who have proven to be the top 40 entrepreneurs under 40.

40under40 culminates at a Gala Awards black-tie event attended by 1000 of Western Australia’s leading business men and women. In recognising the significant risks the winners have taken to pursue their entrepreneurial endeavours, the Awards venue chosen is always innovative, unexpected and somewhat “risky”.

Past venues have always been exclusive and selected because they represent iconic Western Australian landmarks such as the steps of parliament house in 2005, or because they showcase a major infrastructure development like the former rail terminal in north quay in 2006 and even the cargo hold of an Austal ocean liner in 2007.

For 2008, the venue chosen was the Century City construction site! WA is booming beyond anywhere else in Australia, the city skyline is covered with cranes and a lot is going on - it is exciting times over here and this should be embraced and celebrated. The building is located right in the centre of Perth CBD and is due for completion in March 2009.

The building will be an office tower and will showcase a high-end fashion mall which will run directly off the Hay Street Mall. This mall will also include Perth's first ever Hardy Brother's Jewellers. This venue epitomizes symobolically what WA Business News is all about - building WA and helping business grow is our motto and our 40under40 winners are our future business leaders! It's exciting to capture all of this on the night!

The night was extravagant and featured an industrial performance by Tetrafied, lavish Hardy Brothers Jewellers showcase and a grand finale with the worlds ONLY laser minipulation act !
