Nurturing Le Beau Day Spa from one person to 25 and seeing it grow from a back room shop to a great success and about to open it’s third premise has been Karen’s most significant achievement. With an opening budget of five thousand dollars to an estimated turnover this year of 1.8 million Karen created, sourced, nurtured, oversaw and built this business. Her personal positivity was tested when in 1997 during her first year of business; Karen was diagnosed with a hemorrhage and tumor of the brain. This challenge created a determination in her to stay focused and succeed – not only in literally surviving, but in business as well. Karen realized we must live in the moment and do everything we can today. Her business tip is this; Don’t believe anything is unrealistic; there are no boundaries to what we can accomplish. |
