John Van Der Wielen has a Graduate Diploma and Certificates of Management from the University of Western Australia and was the youngest State Manager Fortis/VACC insurance operations ever appointed. Now the Managing Director of St Andrew’s Insurance (Australia) Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of the Bank of Scotland, Mr. Van Der Wielen opened this new and successful insurance company in Australia during a time of consolidation in the industry. In a voluntary capacity, he developed a mutual fund to help protect consumers when motor dealerships fail.
